Engr. Tasiu Saad Gidari-Wudil FNSE, FNIEEE, SMIEEE, MNIM, CRS, CEM®
Engr Tasiu Sa’ad Gidari-Wudil is an indigene of Kano State who speaks Hausa, English and Arabic fluently. He is currently a PhD Student Engineering in Electrical Engineering (Power & Machines), Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, where he obtained both Bachelor and Masters of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (Power & Machines). More so, he attended Govt. Science Sec. Sch. D/Kudu where he obtained his G.C.E. ‘O’ Level, Govt. Technical College, Wudil and Wudil Central Primary School where he obtained his Primary Leaving Certificate. Furthermore, Engr Wudil had his Pupilage Training at Professional Skills Training Centre, Kainji.
In his working career, he was a Power System Protection, Control and Metering Engineer NEPA/PHCN/TCN, 1996-2007 Responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of transformers, lines and substation.
Also, he headed the Networks and Engineering Standards Units of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission from 2007 to June 30th, 2021.
More so, he was responsible for technical regulations and standardization in the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry, and led the team on the development of technical codes and standards like the Grid Code, Distribution Code, Metering Code, Smart Metering Regulation, Guidelines for the Certification of Metering Services and Related Matters. He has been involved in the review of some IEC Metering Standards and development of the AFSEC (African Committee of IEC) GUIDE OF APPLICATION OF STANDARDS FOR SMART METERING SYSTEMS IN AFRICA. And also, was involved in the certification of all meter Manufacturing companies, Importers, and Installers from 2013 to June, 2021
